THURLEY, THE STRAND NSW

Thurley is an Australian boutique fashion label, that specialises in luxurious and timeless fashion pieces.  From humble beginnings Thurley has grown at great speed to become one of the most coveted labels in the country. Thurley engaged Studio Grayscale to develop a unique interior design concept for their new store in the centrally located historic arcade - The Strand in Sydney, NSW.  Due to the compact size of the store, we were challenged to maximise the use of the space - creating clever storage solutions, at the same time as maximising product display - all within an elegant and considered space that showcased their product in the best possible light.

We designed and developed unique joinery solutions, which were not only beautiful, but also highly functional – including the sales counter, and display table.  With high end quality finishes, including terrazzo countertops and shadow line detailing finished in an olive green. 

The back drop for the product was intentionally clean and crisp, allowing the product to be the hero.  Above the product display, elements of the original build are visible, giving contrast to the old and the new.  With feature highlighting throughout, and beautiful herringbone flooring, this store is the perfect backdrop for this unique and luxurious clothing brand.
